I completed my AOW course and did some fun dives with Let’s Dive Tulamben — 4 days, 12 dives in total — and it was honestly an unforgettable experience! The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering that photos and videos are included — and all the instructors and dive masters are so great at capturing beautiful moments underwater. Both my instructor Komang and my dive master Komang Gading are super patient and confidence-boosting. They are also very good at spotting marine life which made diving so much more fun and enjoyable! One of my favourite moments is the live music happening at the dive centre in the evenings, where you can sing, relax, and chat with divers from all over the world. Highly recommend this place — will definitely come back for my next holiday!

What an unforgettable experience with Let’s Dive Tulamben! Taking my Open Water Certification here was honestly one of the best decisions ever. From day one, the entire team made me feel welcomed, supported, and excited to learn diving. Massive respect to Bli Kadek — truly an exceptional instructor. Did 4 days of diving (10 dives total) with Let’s Dive Tulamben with my partner and it was amazing. Went to so many of the local dive sites (Liberty, Drop Off, Batu Kelebit, Alam Anda, Melasti, Boga Wreck…) and Kadek helped us in planning what to do and when. He was flexible with timings, what we wanted to do and was great with briefings prior to the dives. Kadek helped us see so many nudibranchs, fish, sharks, octopuses… and cultivated some amazing experiences. He also made sure we felt safe especially with these new experiences (wreck diving, tight spaces, night diving). Just wrapped up a week here doing macro dives and rescue course, highly recommend this place! For macro, DM Ketut was assigned to me and he was superb. Has laser vision to find the tiniest nudis and all sorts of critters like skeleton shrimp, frogfish, hairy shrimp, and many more. He did the heavy lifting for all the good shots I have taken (lighting, positioning, camera settings etc). Being a novice I wouldn’t have been able to take these photos without his help, and I learnt a lot from him. Also, I did my rescue course with DM Kadek, had a great learning experience. Rescue skills are tough, but he explained the skills clearly and was patient throughout. They also provide accommodation next door to the dive shop, Habitat. The room is new, clean, comfortable beds, and staff are very helpful and friendly. It’s along the main road so there is some noise from traffic, but they provide earplugs so it wasn’t an issue for me. Slept great every night. Overall it was a really good experience, would definitely come back to dive and stay with them.

They were also able to arrange transportation to and fro which made learning very convenient. THANK YOU so much to our dive instructor/masters Dena, Komang and Kadek for making our first diving experience so magical and princess like lol. 💖 They were the most patient, reassuring and competent teachers that every beginner could have hoped for. And they never fail to bring us laughter and calmness in every single one of our dives with them ! First time ever diving and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The team made the introduction feel completely manageable, clear instructions, no pressure, and great English throughout which made a huge difference as a first-timer. The shipwreck dive itself was incredible. Seeing it up close underwater is something I genuinely wasn’t prepared for, it blew me away. A perfect mix of accessible for beginners while still feeling like a real adventure. Shoutout to Dena who was absolutely awesome from start to finish. I had an amazing experience diving with Kadek at Let’s Dive Tulamben. As someone with limited diving experience, I felt completely safe and well taken care of throughout the entire time. We had a great experience. As most of us had no experience with Scuba diving, we were a bit worried. But the staff really take a good care of everyone. We felt in very good hands. From teaching to pool trial to open water dive. Everyone was very professional and care. At the end, we were also given all underwater photos and videos for free (and a cert). We particularly enjoy the lunch meal in their court heard after the dive. Highly recommend for everyone.

We have had the pleasure of using Tulamben Drive today for a fantastic diving experience. First things first, i was very nervous as its only my second experience diving and doing it in another country to where I live (Spain) meant I felt more nervous than usual. They started with the explanation and safety protocol which was second to none – even better than when I had my first experience, I was very impressed. Following this they explained everything about where we would be diving, what we needed to do to stay safe and how to enjoy the experience the most! Wayan & Ketut were the supporting divers with us and they really made the experience so special for my wife and I! I would highly recommend this company for your dive in Bali, Saftey 5/5, Knowledge 5/5, location 10/5!!!

This post is late, but I had a great time diving with Agus from Tulamben Dive in end September 2025. We explored the USAT liberty wreck, Emerald and Drop-Off Dive sites in a single day dive. Everything was well organised with free transportation services by the dive center to and from my resort in Tulamben. I was happy to take up the dive centre’s recommendation to start my dive at USAT liberty early in the morning due to lesser crowd. The wreck was majestic and certainly worth the trip. My favourite site is nevertheless the Drop-off, where you dive along the cliff that drops down to the bottomless sea. The dive site is filled with plenty of colourful corals and bustling sea life. I was initially slightly apprehensive about diving at Tulamben as most of the the sites are shore dives, which i usually find a chore. However, Agus made the shore dives a breeze by helping me in and out of the water and my equipment. The dive center also provides transport between the dive sites, making the whole trip as enjoyable as can be. During the dive, Agus also helped to spot for interesting sea life such as the tiny nudibranches, well camouflaged scorpion fishes and electric clams. Unfortunately, I only planned for a day to dive at Tulamben for my previous trip. Will definitely consider Tulamben Dive again for my next trip to Tulamben!

I had an amazing experience with Tulamben Dive! We explored incredible shipwrecks, saw sharks, and experienced some of the best diving I’ve ever done. I was really nervous before the dive, but the instructor was incredibly patient and carefully went through all the steps with us again before we got in the water. During the dive, the instructor was not only professional but also very funny, which helped me relax and enjoy the experience. He even helped fix my hair before taking underwater photos so I could look my best in the pictures! I highly recommend our instructor Wayan and Komang made us feel safe, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout the entire dive. Tulamben is a perfect place for beginner divers 🤿. The diving experience I had with Tulamben Dive was amazing. I did two fundives with Wayan around and into the Liberty wreck, while it was pouring rain outside! Both were exceptional. Once he is sure enough about your peace and buoyancy, he takes you on a mysterious and wondrous trip through the wreck. So glad I did also a nightdive with him! I was excited when I get in, but even more when I get out. So many fish we saw! Also the organization is great. No pressure, good homestay, great help! Had one of the best dives I ever experienced with the team of Bali Fun Diving. The admin staff are friendly and the dive master team are capable and professional in ensuring safety. Uda, the dive master for my dives, he did a traditional Balinese prayer on our boat ride out in the morning, praying for safety and good dives. The prayer worked 😄! As the ocean is not a zoo with confirmed animals sighting, am I glad that I’m blessed to have close encounters with multiple manta rays – they were giant yet gentle and friendly creatures. Really enjoyed the dives 😍!

Amazing diving shop! The staff is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. They know each diving site very well, handle unexpected situations very well, and make the diving experience fun! I had the opportunity to dive with the co-owner of the shop along with Dharma who was our guide. Since the other divers were much more experienced than me (some had over 25 years of diving experience), I couldn’t keep up with them in terms of keeping my air as I was breathing too much during some parts of the dive where we had some moderate currents. They handled the situation so well, I ended up diving with the co-owner who was such an incredible person. Overall, this was the best diving shop I have dived with so far over the past two years with close to sixty dives in many countries. I would HIGHLY recommend this diving center as it’s amazing! Food served during lunch was also delicious, and most importantly the people are amazing and very professional! Felt very safe and fun!

We have 2 days of dive, first day at Padang Bai and the second day at Nusa Penida. There is hotel/ villa pick up with very good time management (being punctual); the staffs are all very friendly and helpful. The DM are experienced and professional, who gave us good and detailed diving plan before each of our dives. We need not to carry or change our gas bottles throughout the day. Refreshment and water are good and sufficient. Overall it was a marvellous diving experience with Diving-Indo! I would definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to enjoy diving in Bali.

We had two days of dives for the PADI Junior Advanced Open Water courses (in Nusa Penida and Padang Bai), and it was a fantastic experience! There are so many things to praise: – Outstanding Instructor: Natalia was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and especially helpful toward the junior divers, which was very reassuring. – Thorough Briefings: We received detailed explanations before every dive so we knew exactly what to expect (e.g., handling the drift dive). – Seamless Communication: Communication was clear and prompt from our very first email inquiry all the way through to the final sign-out. – Great Amenities: The provided lunch and refreshments were excellent. – Reliable Logistics: Hotel pickup and drop-off were perfectly punctual, and the van was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this shop!

Dived here for 3 days back in April, and it was an amazing experience! The prices are super reasonable, and the daily itinerary was perfectly organized. The pick-up shuttles were always right on time, our dive guides were highly responsible, and even the lunch was delicious! The staff were incredibly helpful and patient when hauling all our heavy gear. Oh, and our guide was so incredibly patient, helping us shoot tons of awesome videos using our own GoPro. Huge thanks to them! On top of that, they really went above and beyond—like driving me to a nearby ATM to withdraw cash and giving me free motion sickness pills because they were worried I’d get seasick. Bottom line: Easy 5 stars! If you’re coming to Bali for diving, this is absolutely the go-to spot!

I did three days of diving with them my partner was getting her open water certification. So the first day I went solo with Raz. Raz was fantastic instructor and very knowledgeable about the wildlife we were seeing on each dive. I hit three different sites over three days. 2 dives the first and second day and three on the third. My partners first day was a pool day but she accompanied us the following days and did the same dives with her instructor. Overall it was a great value we got 12 dives altogether and she got certified for around $1000. The sites we visited were noy easy to get to but we’re extremely unique. All of the staff we were able to meet were fantastic. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and genuinely has a passion for what they do. I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Adventure Scuba Diving and would highly recommend them for anyone looking to dive Bali.

I dived with Molly at Tulamben yesterday. The overall experience starting with the planning with Claire to the dive itself was seamless and amazing. The drive was long but really comfortable with their fabulous driver Wira. I really enjoyed it. Molly as a dive guide was calm, patient and nice to talk to. She also clicked me some amazing pictures. I would recommend diving with them! Enjoy!!

Me and my friend did three dives with Adventure Dives Bali with Richard and Liz, and honestly, they’re the best instructors I’ve ever had. My friend feels exactly the same. He isn’t even certified yet, so this was more of a discovery experience for him, and they made him feel completely comfortable from the start. They’re amazing teachers, super patient, and just really good at what they do. The whole experience was just incredible because of them. We’ll 100% dive with them again and recommend them to everyone we know. The diving school itself is super well organized and really easy to deal with. I even had a small payment issue, and they handled it right away, no stress at all. Even though the weather wasn’t the best, they still made every dive feel special. That says a lot. I can honestly only recommend this school and especially Richard and Liz. Absolute legends. If you’re thinking about diving with them, just do it

I had an incredible experience with Adventure Scuba Diving Bali in Legian. I learned to dive here at age 14, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to scuba diving. My instructor, Molly, was absolutely amazing—super patient, clear, professional, and really supportive the whole time. She explained everything in a way that made me feel confident and safe in the water. The shop was also really accommodating and welcoming, allowing my dad, who is an experienced diver, to tag along. It made the experience even more special, and they handled it perfectly by balancing my training with his experience. Overall, the team was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. I had an awesome time and would 100% recommend Adventure Scuba Diving Bali to anyone looking to learn to dive or have a great diving experience in Bali.

I did a 3-dive tour in Nusa Penida and got to see Manta Rays! Our boat avoided the crowds at Manta Point, so we had them almost to ourselves — no chaotic pile-up of divers. Incredible experience. The one challenge I had was struggling to equalize my ears, but Antoine gave me the right technique on the spot and was flexible enough to wrap up the tour early when I needed it. Highly recommended — will definitely be back! 🤿🙌

My rating for Bali Aqua Dive Center is definitely 5/5. I dived with them for two days and made a total of 5 dives, and the whole experience was really great. The instructor knew exactly how to show me the best of each dive site we visited. You could see his vast experience, his sense of the conditions underwater, and his excellent knowledge of local spots. Thanks to this, each dive was different and very interesting. The complete professionalism and excellent organization deserve special mention – everything was prepared, discussed, and carried out in a safe and calm manner. At the same time, there was a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, which allowed us to fully enjoy the diving. A big plus also for the instructor’s commitment, who really made sure that we saw as much as possible. I definitely recommend this diving center to anyone who wants to discover the underwater world of Bali in a professional and enjoyable way. I will definitely be happy to return on my next visit.

The best experience! The dive lead,Adi, was amazing. We had a great time finding many many interesting marine lives. I think he has lucky charm with him coz we found all the animals we came to see. Highly recommended!!!!

I had a written agreement that if I did a second day dive I would get 10% discount. The owner decided that I should pay full price again, even though he saw the whatsapp messages confirming the 10%. I got upset and decided to book the dive with another company (more expensive for me). Once the owner found out about this he tried to offer me the 10% discount and told me that I misunderstood… yeah right. Too little, too late. I prefer to pay more than to give money to someone that doesn’t respect me. And it was the BEST DECISION EVER!! the other company was better in every sense. More professional, care more about security, better boat, less people in the boat, better camera, even the lunch was better. With BaliAqua we were so packed in the boat, I had to sit in the back side on the way back. Getting soaked by waves for 1 hour while the crew sat on the dry seats. It’s a once in a life time experience to scuba dive in Bali, put yourself in good hands insead of trying to save some bucks like I did.

We had an amazing week diving with Eco Dive Amed. We completed two dives a day for four days, plus a night dive, and everything was perfectly organised from start to finish. My 13-year-old brother had a lot of difficulty equalising his ears and sometimes struggles so much that he has to cancel dives. Made Chaplin was incredibly patient on every single dive, taking all the time needed to help him descend safely so we could continue diving together as a family. He also did a fantastic job of adapting every dive to my brother’s pace and energy while still showing us an incredible variety of marine life and beautiful coral. As a newly certified Divemaster, I also appreciated that he trusted me with enough freedom to enjoy my dives while always keeping an eye on the group. Blacky has an incredible knowledge of the local dive sites and an amazing eye for marine life. Whenever he saw that we were interested and respectful, he went above and beyond to show us countless fascinating creatures we would never have spotted ourselves. The whole team was flexible with our requests, took care of all the equipment and transport, and made every dive easy and enjoyable. Cannot say enough good things about this dive shop!! Everyone is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and our dive master Blacky was one of the best at finding creatures for us to see! The owner is very involved and has been doing this in Amed for years. They also helped us when we found a sick cat and even agreed to adopt him — cmon how kind. Did my first certification here, the Open Water Dive Course for 3 days, and it was such a solid experience. The tide was high and the weather was honestly pretty bad during my course, but Adriana made sure I felt safe and confident the whole time. We still went through everything properly in open water and even handled some strong currents in Sidem, which actually made the learning more real and valuable. I did 6 dives with Adriana and she’s easily the best instructor I could’ve asked for, super patient, clear, and calm in every situation. I enjoyed every second of learning to dive with her. Definitely coming back to EcoDive again!❤️

Firstly. As others have said, you don’t need to pay the 2.5k entrance, but seriously, why not? You get a drink and a seat. Plus they will keep an eye on your stuff. Add to the local economy. If you want it for free, it’s about 300m past the main entrance. It’s a dirt track. It’s pretty obvious where to go. Look for photos from other reviewers. Secondly. The sunken ship is in front of the Warung, not between the black and yellow buoys. It’s 100m to the left or north of these. There is no flag or buoy. When we were there, a boat was tethered to it. Thirdly. The wreck is very cool. There’s not much of it left. Lots of amazing sea plants and coral growing off the wreck. It’s well worth the bumpy ride to get there. There are breed spots for coral (Lipah bay is excellent), but this is unique. You won’t regret it. 🙂

Scuba diving at the Japanese Shipwreck was an amazing experience! The marine life and coral were incredible, and the dive itself was unforgettable. The funny part? I somehow never actually saw the shipwreck! 😂 Still, it was absolutely worth it and I’d gladly dive there again.

Enjoyable and easy snorkel (10yr old completed it with us). Location of the shipwreck is out between the blue and black buoys. Don’t be fooled into paying for a boat to take you OR an entrance fee to see it. As others have written, just go about 1min or so further down the road from the Google maps location and you’ll see another sign for the japanese shipwreck and you can enter through the track there and go down to the water. Zero cost. Clean, lots of marine life. Interesting.

Beautiful wreck that’s full of coral and fish. Easy to get to from the shore and the visibility is fantastic. Not as busy and crowded as Liberty either, making this one of my favorite dive sites. Get a private DM with Bali Explorers Diver who was born and grew up in front of that wreck site!

Absolutely amazing snorkeling location given how easy it is to reach by a scooter. One of the comments says just park your scooter 100 m away from the entrance and then just go through the grove which is the case. The shipwreck is 30 m or so from the shore, so it’s trivial to swim up there even without fins. You can get there by hiring a boat but there is little added value, as it is perfectly easy to get there by a scooter. Also the drive from Amed Center is very enjoyable along the shore.

We booked this place as part of a package, mainly for its location—and it’s perfect, just a short walk to the Liberty Wreck. The diving was fantastic, easily one of the standout wreck dives I’ve done. Conditions were easy with little current and decent visibility, and there was plenty to see—from unusual macro life and nudibranchs to turtles, barracuda, and typical reef fish. The hotel itself is very basic but good value. Rooms are simple, beds are comfortable enough, aircon works, and housekeeping is reliable. Staff were a highlight—Wayan, the manager, was especially helpful, and our guide Suka was great. DIY diving isn’t really practical here, as you need local help with gear over the rocky beach. Tulamben is quiet with no real nightlife; Amed nearby has a few low-key options. Overall, a solid budget stay in a great spot for diving—I’d go back.

Excellent new accommodation Spacious rooms with ensuite shower. Wayan and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Diving the Liberty wreck is such a pleasure. I did both a day and night dive. Dive guide Sukur was excellent too. Felt safe and well managed. Very reasonable prices. Recommended.

Cannot recommend these guys highly enough;)|The location is so central that you have easy access to all the amazing dive sites (some you can even walk to), restaurants, warungs and shops.||The atmosphere is pretty chill; you can relax and find a quiet spot to nap or hang out and chat with fellow divers.||Because it is set off the main road it is very quiet, the rooms were pristine and staff were happy to get you extra towels which is really useful when doing multiple dives a day! I really appreciated the balcony – not just a useful space to dry dive gear but also a tranquil spot to read and enjoy the view of the lush gardens.||From room service and restaurant staff to the dive centre, the staff were fabulous- very friendly and helpful. Ask the restaurant staff to book you in with the resident masseuse- I swear it is the best $15 AUD you will spend!||This place is proof you don’t need to spend a fortune to feel like you have had a luxury trip.

The Tulamben wreck dive guides and scuba team were outstanding. They quickly became familiar with each diver and their equipment, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Their friendliness, professionalism, and support were second to none.||The dive sites were highly enjoyable. Some were challenging, but ultimately very rewarding. Having the flexibility to dive at one’s own pace reduced the pressure of a rigid schedule.||The variety of sites ensured each dive felt like a new experience, even when revisiting locations.||The resort and dining staff were friendly, attentive, and eager to please. The food was of a high standard — and the real bacon at breakfast was a highlight.||Transfers to and from the airport were well organised and easy.||I will definitely go back and stay with Tulamben Wreck Divers Hotel.

My friend and I booked this hotel as part of a package deal.||The main site we wanted to dive the Liberty Wreck, is literally less than 100m from the hotel.|The dive itself is amazing, I would put it up there with one of the best wreck dives I have done (I have done a lot of diving having worked as a dive professional previously)||The hotel was extremely inexpensive, the room reflected the price. There is an old TV in the room but I don’t watch TV on holidays. The beds were fairly comfortable and adequate. Aircon worked and the rooms were cleaned daily. ||There are newer rooms on offer there, but we were satisfied with what we had.|Wayan was the resort manager and he spoke very good English and was extremely helpful with any of our enquiries. ||Our dive guide was a lovely guy named Suka. His English is limited but you don’t really need to talk underwater.||We initially wanted to rent tanks and go by ourselves. It is impossible to do it yourself, you really need help from the locals transporting the gear and getting you in and out of the water. (As it can be a bit tricky on the pebbly beaches).||The dive sites weren’t taxing, there was minimal current and fairly good vis for the most part.|The marine life consisted of lots of strange macro, some nudibranchs I haven’t encountered before. Also came across a turtle, some barracuda and all the regular reef fish that can be found in the tropics.||There is no nightlife at Tulamben, however there is Amed which has very limited bars there. ||I would definitely come back to this hotel and recommend it to others.
