Great guys! They made me feel at ease and walked me through the process of getting up on a board. I’m 55 years old and this was my first experience ever. Super happy that I took the lesson, had some fun, got some pics and met some really cool people.

Such fun and great instruction we all felt comfortable and safe and the guys were patient and kind. They broke down the steps and had us practice first. Great location and waves all equipment boards included was in good shape. I highly recommend this surf lesson company

Patient instructor. They really teach you surfing and they’re super helpful in term of advices and the whole hands-on experience. It was my first time surfing, I have 1-hour session with Tio Surf and managed to ride 5-7 waves. Pretty satisfied. It’s been fun experience! Will come back again next time if I visit Bali. Five star! Tio Surf is a great place and also the best place to get the best surfing experience from beginner to advanced. They have professional and friendly instructors, who will always put your safety first and also guide you in the most fun way to learn to surf. Will definitely come again! 🙂

1st of all, Fatih entertained us and was very welcoming and accommodating! I really love their advocacy and their stance on using wood for their boards, and personally, I love wooden things! So might be a bias, but I stand by it. Will definitely come back next time to buy my surf essentials.

Hoping to spread the good word here about this absolute gem of an experience. Our instructor Nick was very patient and attentive, and put a lot of emphasis on safety. We had only a faint idea of what fliteboard was about, and yet by the end of the lesson, we were comfortably whizzing up and down the bay, in no small part to the quality of the instruction. Overall this was super good value. Nick is great, really generous with his time, and the equipment is in tip-top shape. And it is *fun*. Once you get the hang of it, the sensation is like that of flying. It’s surreal. Highly recommend giving this a try, including for first-timers like me.

My partner and I tried e-foiling today with Fliteschool Bali. I whatsapped the owner Nick weeks ago to book it and he replied very quickly, even though it was late at night. He sent me a link to pay (I was a bit worried about digitally handing over a decent amount of money to a guy on the other side of the world, weeks before coming to Bali! but it was all good). Finally gave it a go today and Nick was great! It’s a fun water sport and I’d definitely recommend to try! Both my partner and I stood up on the boards within the first 20 mins of being out on the water, but even if you’re on your stomach, it’s still cool to cruise around! Absolutely amazing experience! There is no better place to try efoil. Jimbaran beach is super clean, beautiful and sandy so you don’t risk scratching your legs getting into the water. Nick and his family who are helping him are very friendly, easy going and helpful. I never felt pressure about the time. Nick helped me bring the foil into the water which was extremely appreciated and explained the process. It felt very simple to understand and learn. It did take me some time to get used to the device but I was flying the very same hour. I was extremely excited about my progress and looking forward to coming back soon!

I got my dream board from here. My first ever own surfboard! I had it for 2 years now and it’s still perfect! I learned to do my first cutback, first snap, and learned how to duck dive with this board! They picked it up, repaired it, and returned it the very next day. The repairs were flawless—you can’t even tell it was ever damaged. I needed a new legrope plug. I made boards for quicksilver and Al Merrick in France for 5 years. They did an amazing job. Cheap, fast and really well done. They have 2 nd hand boards and also many new amazing water crafts. They re super friendly and professional.

Really awesome repair store! They brought my FireWire back to life after it’s been buckled. The board looks like New now. Unbelievable quality of job, I cannot see where the crack was!

Fantastic experience for beginners – highly recommend! I found UP2U Surf School through Google reviews, and they absolutely lived up to the high rating. As a first-time surfer, I was a bit nervous, but the setup here is perfect. I was placed in a small group of just three people, which meant plenty of individual attention.The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and patient. They made sure to spend 1-on-1 time with each of us, constantly providing helpful, real-time feedback and pointers to improve our technique. The owner, Paul, was also really attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. On top of the great service, the prices are very reasonable. A huge bonus is that they include a photo and video package at no extra cost, which is a really nice touch to look back on your progress. I will definitely be back!

I had an amazing experience with UP2U Surf School at Legian Kuta Beach. I chose them because of their great reviews and because their lessons are held on a shallow sand-bottom beach, which is much easier and safer for beginner surfers compared to reef breaks. I tried one surf lesson in Canggu that was double the price, with no photos, and I barely learned anything. With UP2U, the lesson was much better paced. They give you a 10min break between sessions to catch your breath, so you can actually make the most of it without getting too exhausted. The instructors are passionate, patient, and give tips after every attempt, so you can improve throughout the lesson. I also noticed a couple of female instructors which might be helpful for some. I did the 5 lesson private package with Dennis as my teacher and each day I was able to try a smaller board. He let me catch whitewash waves on my own and even paddled out with me to the lineup with more experienced surfers. He was there the entire time I was in the water and I went from almost zero experience to catching small unbroken waves in 5 lessons. I can confidently go out on my own into the surf and it was one of the best experiences in my life. I really recommend up2u surf school for anyone looking for first time or beginner surf lessons in Bali

I genuinely highly recommend this surf school. My boyfriend and I initially booked 2 beginner classes followed by their 5-day course. Ifan was our first instructor on our beginner classes, who taught us the basics of surfing. He’s a great instructor and was very patient with us. Instructor Adi took over our following classes and he teaches with tough love, but we love him! He tells us our mistakes every time we make one (which is often) and immediately corrects us. He is an EXCELLENT instructor. I managed to change from a soft board to a fun board within 7 lessons which is insane to me because I am personally afraid of water as i’m not the best swimmer but this experience made me feel like I was one with the ocean, which makes me feel so much more confident in surfing now that we can just rent boards even without the instructors, thanks to the foundation they have taught and imbedded in us. We seriously appreciate them and can’t thank them enough. Special thanks to Paul for the great pictures and advise on which classes to book. You seriously HAVE to take surfing lessons with Up2U whether you’re a beginner or not. Best team ever and their price is very affordable!!!! Side note: get coconuts from david’s beach bar next to Up2U, friendliest couple ever.

Best Photo Studio in Kuta! Came here right when they were opened at 10 AM to create ID size photo. Quick response and great results! 6 pcs of 4x6cm pictures, and 4 pcs of 3x4cm pictures cost only IDR 65,000. They will send the softcopy of the picture via google drive link that connect to your WhatsApp. So next time you printed out, only cost IDR 30,000! 🙂

Amazing snorkelling tour!! We had the best time at Bluuu Tours, especially with our guides Paco and Vicky who made sure the whole day was perfect and fun! They were also great with the GoPros and made sure everyone on our boat had their moment underwater. Lunch was absolutely delicious and Vicky made sure we had some great pictures at Kelingking beach, even if it was a little busy. The trip was even more worth it when we saw a family of mantas at the end of the day! 10/10 what an amazing crew🔥💯

Amazing all-inclusive boat tour! We did the all-inclusive boat tour with Bluu Tours and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. As an Aussie, I’ve snorkelled many times before, and I can honestly say the guides were some of the best I’ve ever had. Our guides, Roby and Eric, were attentive, calm, professional, and always made sure everyone felt safe and well looked after in the water. The snorkelling was amazing. We were lucky enough to see manta rays, turtles, colourful reef fish, jellyfish, and so much more. The crew knew exactly where to take us and made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. The food was delicious, and finishing the day with the beautiful sunset views was the perfect way to end the tour. If you’re visiting Bali, I highly recommend this tour. It’s fantastic value for money, incredibly well organised, and an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Roby and Eric, for making it so special!

The Nusa Penida Snorkelling Trip was the absolute highlight of our holiday! Led by our fantastic guides Jena & Nemo. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience everything from check in, the boat itself (brand new and stunning), the crew on the boat, the travel arrangements, the secret Sunset spot and itinerary was all so organised and well thought out! We were lucky enough to see two turtles and SIX manta rays on our trip, honestly such a humbling and beautiful experience. When we are back in Bali we will be booking again 1000%, don’t miss out on this trip!!! Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience! As soon as you arrive at the boarding point, there is a very cozy lounge where you can enjoy coconut water, drinks, and a croissant while waiting. We did the Nusa Penida Premium Yacht tour and everything was amazing from beginning to end. The tour includes snorkeling equipment, three snorkeling stops with guides in the water helping the whole time, non-alcoholic drinks during the trip, and a cocktail at the end. Lunch at La Rossa was also great, with starter, main course, dessert, and a cocktail included. You can also visit Kelingking Beach or stay enjoying the beach and pool at the restaurant. But the best part was definitely the service. The crew was extremely attentive, proactive, friendly, and full of amazing energy. They made us feel very well taken care of during the whole experience. A complete tour, excellent service, and an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

Our group of six adults had our first surf lesson with this team. The instructors were really helpful and cheered us up to encourage us to proceed. They did individual instructions to each of us and we felt the event in all was well organised too. They chose a good spot at the reefs which was not to deep. It would be comfortable to bring swim shoes. The seabed was part sand, seaweed and occasional corral. All in all I recommend this team and try this lesson even if you have not tried surfing before.

This was an amazing experience all around. We took 3 lessons from Made and Ari and by the end, our kids, my wife and I were all able to ride the the mid size hard boards and we could turn a little bit. Their instruction is excellent and they explain everything we did wrong to help us ride better. Next time I am in Bali, I will learn from them again!

We had so much fun learning to surf with these guys. Wayan and Adi are both great instructors and care about your progress. The semi private lessons were perfect for us and the prices are more than fair as well. This was us on our third lesson. Would definitely recommend – but don’t skip the sunscreen!

Awesome experience with the Surf Guide service at Sanur Surf School. Did two 2-hour sessions and the vibes were 10/10. The guides gave a perfect rundown of the surf breaks and were masters at positioning. They even blocked waves for me in the crowds at Serangan & Sanur, so you’re guaranteed to get a high wave count. Professional, fun, and very authentic. Don’t hesitate to book!

Just finished a fantastic five-day experience with the team at Sanur Surfing School and I can’t recommend them highly enough! My daughter, son, and I took intermediate lessons, and by the end of the trip we were confidently popping up on 95% of waves turning left, right, and feeling completely in control. (That’s what they told us😉). The crew were outstanding, professional, friendly, and genuinely invested in helping us improve our surfing every single session. They took us to a range of reef breaks depending on the conditions, and made sure we got plenty of wave time. The boats, boards, and all the gear were in top condition, and they even supported the kids with the swim out and paddle back. At AUD 60 per day per person, the pricing is very competitive, especially considering the quality of instruction, the boat transfers, and the generous water time we got each day. This is long overdue. My children had this opportunity to learn surfing with Wayan’s team back I Dec’ 24. Of course, so many had fantastic experience with Sanur Surf School. We had a great time and was wonderful to witness children’s activities and learning a new skill! We signed for 3 days package. We arrived before 8am, then did some warm-up up, loaded up the boat and off we went for the real deal. The care and passion was there for me the all us to experience. I see one instructor always close by, when a child is too far off, and too tired to paddle back, he was there to support and even brought them back to ‘start’ point. My son made good friends with them too, and both kids really would have love staying to continue. We’ll definitely be back here for more surfs and good vibes. 👍

My son’s first surfing experience in Bali! He absolutely loved it. Koma was his instructor and he was really patient with my kid knowing that he’s not super confident in the open water. A big shoutout to coach koma for being so comfortable around with! Would definitely come back for more lessons when we’re in Bali next time!!

My wife and I visited the school the night before to make a reservation. It was a sudden visit, and our English was poor, but they were very kind and accommodating. Afterwards, we exchanged details via WhatsApp and the day arrived. On the day of the lesson, all we had to do was wear our swimsuits; they provided us with surfboards, leashes, rash guards, and towels. After leaving our valuables in a locker, we headed to the beach. The lesson followed a routine of training on land followed by surfing in the ocean. It was almost my wife’s first time, but thanks to the careful coaching, she successfully took off on her very first wave! She was able to catch many more waves afterwards, creating wonderful memories in the beautiful land of Bali! We also received lots of photos to take home! If you’re looking for a surf school in the Seminyak area, I highly recommend it!

Yoga is an amazing instructor, he was very clear and made it so easy for me. As a beginner I was nervous and he knew how to make sure I was calm and gain confidence in the water. Very patient and pushed me when I needed it. I had a brilliant time and would really recommend!!

Definitely the highlight of my trip! The instructors are amazing and supported us throughout the two hours we learnt how to surf! We expected a laid back bodyboarding session but were pleasantly surprised by a surfing lesson instead! The instructors were so kind and assisted me throughout the session. By the end of the two hour sessions I could stand on the board and let the waves wash me back to the shore (without any prior experience). It was really fun and I would definitely go again!

Our instructor Avan was super patient, professional, and made us feel safe and confident in the water. The safety briefing was very informative and we felt very safe with him. 10/10 store and Surfboard leashes. I have gone through the most expensive leashes and they have lasted me just a few months… then I had a friend recommend PalmBay and told me his has lasted years. I am so grateful to Palmbaybali!! I realised at 6pm tonight that I had misplaced my fin key & wax comb in my travels and by 7:30pm both were delivered to my place. I contacted them via WhatsApp to see if they had any locally made fins for a longboard that is being shaped for me or if they knew anywhere that did have locally made fins. I love to support small local businesses when I can where ever I am. They replied super fast and they had some of their own fins in the shop. They sent me through some photos of the fins they had in stock (I was after a 8″-9″) I was so stoked they they had a perfect 8.5″ that will go perfectly with my new board.
