We booked this silversmithing class at the very last minute the night before, and they managed to squeeze us into their schedule. The staff was incredibly kind, cheerful, and welcoming. Making the rings took about an hour and a half, and we had an absolutely wonderful time. First, we chose our designs from ready-made templates, which can be fully customized and altered if there’s anything you want to change. Then, the real crafting began! The workshop at Parallel Universe was amazing! I had done a silversmithing workshop once before in Ubud but theirs really exceeded my expectations! The silversmiths/staff went above and beyond helping me materialising my ideated design. It was so much fun! I learned a lot and the outcome is exactly what I had imagined/wished for. 10/10 100% recommend them and booking this experience for your Bali holiday especially if you’re staying around Unud! The workshop is only 350k IDR and using brass for my I only paid around an additional 370k IDR for material. So worth it!! Best souvenir ever you can bring home from your Bali holiday!!

I had such a beautiful experience at Parallel Universe during their jewellery making session. Creating my own ring was something really special, and the whole process felt very personal and memorable. Bli Kadek, the craftsman who guided me, was incredibly patient and kind. He took the time to carefully explain every step and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the process. You can really feel his passion for the craft, and it made the experience even more meaningful. Richard also made a very thoughtful gesture during the payment after finding out that I was celebrating my birthday. It was such a small but touching moment that truly warmed my heart. We booked the VIP session at Parallel Universe to make some jewellery and it was a fantastic experience! Nyoman was our dedicated silversmith and he was great! All of the staff were very welcoming and very helpful. I wanted to make some cufflinks for my husband as he doesn’t wear much jewellery and they said they hadn’t had anyone make cufflinks before, so it was a fun learning experience all round! My husband made me a pendant to match a bangle he made me on our last trip to Bali. We got to pump the gas for the melting of the silver and crank the machine to flatten the silver to the right width to use. We had a lot of fun and made some high quality jewellery we will treasure forever.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Parallel Universe. It was my first time making a silver ring, and I loved every moment of it. Huge thanks to my instructor, Kadek– he was supportive, inspiring, and also really funny, which made the whole process even more enjoyable. I came in with zero design in mind, just pure expression, and the result turned out so much better than I expected. I was so thrilled with my first ring that I actually booked another session the day before my flight home. This time I made a bracelet and a couple more rings. The atmosphere is creative, welcoming, and you always feel guided and encouraged. I also want to highlight their beautiful jewelry shop. I picked up a few pieces there as souvenirs and gifts… and of course something for myself too. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique, hands-on creative experience. Wayang and his brother were very friendly and funny. They gave me lots of freedom in my design and were able to help a lot with the complicated parts, whilst still making me feel very involved in the process. I came twice, the first time I got to remake one of their cool example rings, and the second time I approached them with a custom design to make a gift for my sister. Wayan & Korman were awesome. So easy to deal with and nothing was a problem. Hubby had twisted bronze wire in middle of his ring with engraving on the inside. The daughter, Unika, explained everything in English and helped me with the easy steps, and her father helped me with the detailed work. They waited patiently from the moment I chose the design, and even as a beginner, they always smiled and encouraged me. Had an amazing time assisting in making two custom rings for myself. They let me take my time in creating the designs and deciding which gemstones to use. I got to choose the sizing and they kept checking the fit throughout the creation process to ensure it was perfect. Half of the process is done outside and the other half inside the air conditioned studio. I really appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff to help create my desired rings. I love that I have a personalised keepsake to take home with me.

Undeniably the best silver workshop. We booked online through GetYourGuide and the pricing was very reasonable. We were allocated Erick to assist and he was a pleasure to work with. My daughter chose a ring from their examples but I brought a stone from home with a photo for a freehand pendant and Erick was amazing. He walked us through the process and explained each step. We went to jewellery making workshop. And it was absolutely amazing. Our instructor was Arick and he was really great and friendly. He was very patient and taught us to make amazing rings. It was so fun to make your own jewellery. The place itself is amazing and spacious. And everyone there was super friendly. Special thanks to our instructor Arick. He is amazing. Went with teenage daughter and we had so much fun. ‘Duck’ was amazing and guided us carefully through the process of melting the silver to hammering the shape, polishing and all the steps in between. He finessed our rings. We are very happy with our jewellery. Can’t rate this venue highly enough.

This place is perfect! Great hosts, wonderful tutelage, in a very peaceful environment. I am not poetic enough to capture the wholesome feeling I am left with. It never felt like a rushed tourist activity designed to churn through bookings instead, it was a wholesome, meaningful experience that I will remember for a long time. The location itself is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere throughout the workshop. The experience was both informative and therapeutic. If you’re visiting Ubud, make time for this class, I promise you won’t regret it. I cannot recommend GBE Silver enough. There’s also a lovely little shop onsite where you can purchase unique handmade jewellery crafted by local artisans.

I can’t speak highly enough of this rural based Silver Jewellery Class; it’s worth the 45min drive out of Ubud. I was welcomed warmly by the owner, Yande, (who started GBE in 2020) with a chilled juice and cassava crisps. I was given photographic books to browse through, to choose my designs and a huge array of semi precious stones as an optional extra. Adhi was my personal teacher, a young but hugely attentive and experienced craftsman. He involved me as much as possible throughout the process, but took charge of the more intricate soldering. I was fortunate enough to be the only student today, so my experience was highly personalised. I was absolutely thrilled and amazed by the quality of my completed ring and earrings, which I will treasure fondly of my fantastic holiday in Bali 🤩 Thank you so much GBE 🥰

Where do I begin… This class is a bit further north away from the center, there are other classes further but I 1000% recommend this one and not the others. The warm authentic feeling of the area is worth it the short trip there, and when it comes to the staff and the experience ? Immaculate ! They were so kind and so patient with me and my mother (we weren’t easy to deal with 🥲), generous, professional and very talented ! We took so long that we had to leave, and the owner went out of this way to drive 40 mn + to deliver the rest of our jewelry to our accommodation at 10pm. Truly an amazing experience, and this company is the best one to do it with. (Bonus point for the cute dogs)

We just had the most amazing class with Nyoman – I showed him a photo of the ring I had in mind and he showed me through every step (fixing my errors along the way). He was a real expert with it all and the facilities were great. The finished product is amazing!! My partner went with the gold plated option and made a cool looking ring with a knot in it. Phenomenal experience here in Bali from the moment we walked in. First, it was the crisp air conditioning after stepping in from the hot Bali streets, then we were immersed in a hands-on workshop like no other. We were warmly greeted, offered cold water, and introduced to Mr. Memet, a masterful jeweller who guided my girlfriend and me through creating meaningful rings together. We both left with beautiful 6g silver rings (my lady even got hers gold plated). I genuinely couldn’t recommend this place more highly. For blokey blokes who love hands-on, crafty activities involving fire, hammering, and shaping, this is an unreal experience. It’s such a great way to spend a couple of hours with your partner making itsomething you’ll keep forever. This was probably my favourite thing I’ve done in Bali. The instructors here take you through every step of the ring making process and help you create something beautiful. The engraving is included and you can write whatever you want. The whole process takes no more than 2 hours for a gorgeous piece of jewellery that you can proudly say you made yourself. This was an incredible experience and I’m beyond happy. The price is very reasonable too at 500k for a single person and 100k per gram of additional silver – for a handmade, sentimental work of art. 10/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone!

We loved the class so much that we came back to make more. Made 5 rings all up between 2 of us. The guys there are very helpful and friendly and show you how its done then let you do it yourself with guidance if needed. Air-conditioning inside so it was very comfortable environment. They also fixed a ring in brought in. Great place!

Such a cool experience! We went on a Sunday when a lot of other places were closed too! No booking (though I think it’s preferred) and the staff were really welcoming and lovely! Super helpful in explaining the process! Just two of us went. Really cool 1-1 experience and really good price! Would recommend that younger children don’t attend as some equipment could be quite dangerous for those with short attention spans Super cool experience but maybe pee before you come, the toilets aren’t what you’re coming to see. Hard to find little shop but the guys were friendly and helpful and it was overall a great experience. They greeted us with a bottle of cold water each. We made 2 silver rings, one with gold plating and it was 1,450,000 rupiah for both. The experience took us about an hour. They also offered to polish my other rings for me and they look new again ☺️
