Mondo Surf Village - Surf Camp Canggu, Bali

I would recommend this surf camp. The staff are so friendly and the instructors are very talented coaches. Rendy, Anger and Woris were always making sure that we went to the best spot for the surf conditions and our abilities. Saftey was their number one priority which made us feel very comfortable. They made sure that we were having a great time and improving our surfing. Ayu is an absolute genius behind the camera getting us some great shots. The property was very well maintained and clean. The food was very tasty, I would recommend the Indonesian breakfast to keep you full!

We visited Bali during the dry season in July. We spent the first part of our trip in the busy Batu Bolong area before moving to Mondo Surf & Lifestyle Village, and the change of atmosphere was exactly what we needed.||Compared to the lively streets around Batu Bolong, Mondo felt much more peaceful and surrounded by nature. As soon as we arrived, we felt more relaxed and all the noise and distractions seemed to disappear.||One of the highlights of our stay was the BBQ night. We enjoyed delicious food while chatting with other guests, and the staff played guitar and sang songs throughout the evening. It created such a warm and relaxed atmosphere that felt uniquely Bali.||In the morning, we joined the yoga session, and it was also very easy to participate in the surf activities. The pool was large, clean, and perfect for a refreshing swim.||The rooms are spread out across the property, so it never felt crowded. It was quiet, private, and a great place to unwind. Whether it was the staff or other guests, everyone greeted us with a smile whenever we crossed paths, which made the whole experience feel even more welcoming.||If we return to Bali in the future, Mondo Surf & Lifestyle Village will definitely be one of the places we stay again.

This was an absolutely amazing experience, with the best staff and instructors we could have asked for. Everyone was super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made the whole stay even better. The resort itself was beautiful, with a really peaceful, nature-focused setting surrounded by greenery, making it a great place to relax. Our room was cozy and comfortable, and the food was really good with plenty of great options throughout our stay. We also got so much better at surfing thanks to the experienced instructors, who gave us heaps of useful tips and made every session fun. Overall, we had an awesome time and would definitely recommend it.

Mondo was everything I didn't know I needed and so much more! There is something so special about waking up every morning, heading straight to the ocean and coming back to breakfast already waiting for you, like what even is that life and how do I keep it forever! The surf coaches, Angeer, Dandi and Randi — were honestly the heart of the whole experience. These guys know their stuff inside out but more than that, the moment you're in the ocean you just TRUST them completely. And that's not a small thing! The ocean can be intimidating, especially when you're just starting out, but they made it feel safe without ever making you feel small. They took their responsibility seriously and it showed in every single session. Eka and Aayu were always ready to help for the smallest for the things! The food was gorgeous (thanks - Comma), the people were warm, the whole place just had this energy that made you want to stay forever. Mondo genuinely felt like a sanctuary, the kind of place that slows you down in the best possible way. For someone who had never surfed before, I couldn't have picked a better place to start this journey. They made me fall in love with something I didn't even know I'd love. Already dreaming about going back and I have a feeling it won't just be a dream for too long!

Unlike other surf camps I've been to, this one leans towards a more private, small family/group vibe. You really get to know other guests and guides/coaches since you'll be traveling, surfing and doing yoga together most days. I really think this is what separates it from others in the Canggu area. Location is great since it's close to Canggu's hotspots and an easy (plus cheap) Grab ride away. I don't recommend walking around Canggu since it's packed with cars and traffic and the footpaths are shared paths with scooters especially during busy hours. I really enjoyed my time and thanks to Ayu, Eka, Randy, Dandy, Angger, Faris, Julia and the rest of the Mondo crew! PS- They take awesome pictures and videos of your surf sessions which make the best souvenirs! Until next time 🤙

I had the best time at Mondo Surf Village! Such a nice and relaxed atmosphere, and the whole team was so friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The surf coaches were amazing, super encouraging and made every session really fun. The food was also delicious, a huge thank you to the restaurant team. Would love to come back!

Mondo is an amazing surf and yoga oasis within walking distance or a short Grabcar to all Canggu has to offer. I came solo to learn to surf. Rendy, Dandi, and Angur are terrific instructors. They selected the beach each day with the most appropriate waves based on experience. As a relative newcomer to surfing, they chose wisely! Each day we drove to Legion, Kuta, or Semanyak. We surfed for 90 minutes or more with one-on-one instruction, with one of them also taking photos and videos from the beach. Each day, as a 59 year old, I caught several waves. After surfing, we’d chill at the beach for a while, where you can order a freshly cut coconut water or Bintang. We got to watch the instructors surf — they are super talented! Back at Mondo, I tried yoga for the first time, and did one or two sessions each day. All the instructors were wonderful, especially Julia from France. And the yoga studio is a beautiful open air ramada-type structure built around an old tree in the center. Look up! Wow. My last day I had a full body massage that was exceptionally affordable. After 5 days of surfing, my body had a several knots. Eka and the rest of the staff were helpful and communicated with us every day about the activities scheduled the following day. The breakfasts are tasty. And the pool is welcoming. Listening to the surf instructors play guitar and sing songs in the late afternoon was a highlight! Totally disagree with the other reviewer who thinks they should be banished from guest areas. They made the experience authentic and memorable!
