Drifter Surf Shop & Cafe - Uluwatu

A really cool place with that relaxed surf vibe you expect from spots like this. The shop has an excellent selection, and the restaurant serves genuinely good food — good enough to come here for even if you’re not into surfing. The spring rolls wrapped in rice paper are amazing. Highly recommend them — they’re perfect on a hot day.

A great spot right in the heart of Uluwatu where you can both enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and find quality surf gear and accessories. Having a drink at the front bar while watching the street come alive towards sunset is a unique experience. There is also a beautiful and peaceful garden area at the back. I believe places like this play an important role in supporting surf culture and creating a more authentic experience for visitors to the area.

Drifter is a great place for everything surf. Most products they sell are locally made. The food and drinks at the cafe are also very well put together. Lots of vegetarian options too. The desserts are literally to die for! The terrace in the back is like a hidden gardens every chill and away front the Uluwatu noises. Service was a bit slow, but we weren’t in much of a hurry so it was fine for us. This place is absolutely worth a visit!

Just had breakfast at Drifter Surf Shop & Café, right when they opened at 7:00 AM. I ordered an acai bowl and an iced Americano—simple, fresh, and well done. The morning was still quiet when I arrived, with only a few people around, and the place slowly started to fill up. There was a brief rain shower that made the atmosphere cooler and even more pleasant. Great vibes overall—relaxed, stylish, and comfortable. I’d definitely come back again whenever I’m in Uluwatu.

Drifter Cafe – Uluwatu – ★★★★☆ Such a lovely spot with a great vibe — perfect for a relaxed meal just a bit warm. We absolutely loved the Nasi Campur and the sweet potato, both were full of flavour and really satisfying. The smoothie was lovely and refreshing, and the acai bowl was simply amazing. Everything we tried was delicious. The only downside was that it was quite hot, and there weren’t enough fans or cooling, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times. Overall, still a fantastic experience and highly recommend! Thanks 🙏

Absolutely the best café in town! We stayed in Uluwatu for one week and found ourselves returning to Drifter Cafe (almost) every single day. Why? The delicious food (with sooo many amazing vegan options!), the relaxed and welcoming vibe, the beautiful location — and most importantly, the outstanding staff. A very special thank you to Koming (we already miss you)! She is one of the kindest and most attentive people we’ve ever met. She truly made every visit special. Our favorite dishes were the gentle morning kitchari, mental lentil soup, smoothie bowls, bonita bowl, berry bliss bowl — and of course the ice cream, especially peanut butter chocolate chip! Thank you for making our days here so memorable. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip!

Huge thanks to Ode and the team at Drifter for helping us produce a custom Pyzel surfboard in record time—just 3 weeks from start to finish. Communication was swift and clear throughout the entire process, and Ode was incredibly helpful with recommendations and guidance along the way. Super reliable, professional, and easy to work with. I had to hand carry the board to the US and they were very helpful in making sure that the board was properly packaged up in bubble wrap. Highly recommend if you’re looking for custom boards in Bali!
