The experience at Bamboo U was truly unique, transformative, and inspiring. The course exceeded my expectations, and if there were additional modules, I would definitely enroll again without hesitation. It was an excellent opportunity to enrich my knowledge of bamboo, deepen my understanding of its application in construction, and connect with the global bamboo community, with the chance to meet and learn from leading references in bamboo construction from around the world. The hands-on experience was very well structured and extremely valuable, allowing the practical application of the concepts learned. I would also like to highlight the team, the welcome, and the overall organization of the course — everything was handled at the highest level. The 1-Day Bamboo U Experience was an absolute highlight of my time in Bali! ​From the start, the team was incredible. A huge thanks to Zidane and Mike for being so generous with their knowledge—they were patient, professional, and answered every single one of my questions with great detail. ​The Food: Lunch at Taani Restaurant was excellent and beautifully served. I especially appreciated them accommodating my special request for passion fruit juice—it was refreshing and the perfect mid-day treat! ​The Workshop: The afternoon session with Moko on Bamboo Model-Making was eye-opening. Moko is a great teacher; he suggested a design that incorporated all the core elements we discussed, which gave me so much more clarity on the actual concepts required for a real build. ​I walked away having learned a lot and am already looking forward to joining one of their longer residential courses in the future. Highly recommend this for anyone interested in sustainable architecture!

My son and I attended their 11 day course. It is actually 10 days, where the first 5 days are teaching concepts, followed by a day's break and then 5 days of workshops or hands-on experience. We were blown away by the amount of effort the team puts in making the experience world class. A bad teacher can ruin a subject for life for a new student, and Bamboo U has done exactly the opposite. The way they teach gives the confidence that 'I can also do this' from the very first day. The venue in itself is so beautiful, that it feels magical just to be there. Every single team member makes you feel at home. And of course the wonderful people (fellow students) one meets from all over the world, all united by a passion for learning about bamboo. The Bamboo U team has taken bamboo, which is often perceived as a temporary material, and turned it into a beautiful, long lasting, luxury, and niche housing solution. They teach the basics and on top of that teach students how to make it beautiful. We are really glad that we attended this course, and would absolutely recommend this to anyone interested to learn Bamboo buildings.

The combination of learning, creating, collaborating, and spending time in such a beautiful natural environment makes the whole experience unforgettable. After 11 days, I walked away with much more than just knowledge. I gained a new perspective on sustainable materials, a deep respect for bamboo, and the confidence that even as a beginner, you can become part of this movement.
