The Saka Museum is truly a hidden gem in Bali. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by its stunning ambiance and beautiful architecture. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated and provide a deeper understanding about Subak and what Nyepi really means, beyond just a day of silence. What I loved most was how the museum blends culture, storytelling, and technology to create an immersive experience. It made me reflect on the true meaning of silence in a way that felt both engaging and memorable. A special thank you to Made Jane Purnama for introducing me to the Saka Museum at AYANA Resort Bali. Without her recommendation, I might have missed this incredible cultural experience. I would also like to thank you to Anggie, who accompanied me during my visit. She was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain the exhibits and answer my questions. Her passion and hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable and thanks as well to Krisna and Novita for their warm welcome and kindness throughout my visit. I highly recommend visiting the Saka Museum for anyone interested in Balinese culture, history, and the deeper meaning of Nyepi. It's an experience that stays with you long after you leave. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Had an amazing experience here, lost track of time because there was so much to see and a lot of information to read up on and absorb. The displays are so so beautiful and educational, you can learn a lot about Bali culture and history here. The interactive exhibits were engaging and fun too. Also, the staff here are very welcoming and friendly 🙂
We real enjoyed this museum! It thoughtfully curates video, historical artifacts, and modern art to offer a window into Nyepi, the Balinese day of silence. The museum staff was incredibly attentive and engaged, they seemed genuinely excited to tell us more about the pieces and their cultural context. It’s a pretty small museum, you can see everything in an hour or so. Note that it’s located on and run by the Ayana resort, but it’s open to all visitors. As you might guess for a museum run by a five-star resort, the entry fee is relatively high.
What a fantastic visit! The museum focuses on key aspects of Balinese culture, coveringa wide variety of topics in short order. I learned a great deal, and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, eager to share more. The massive ogoh-ogoh figures are amazing. Highly recommended.
Interesting little find that we weren't expecting. We'll worth the stop thats easily missed due to it been a private museum located on resort grounds. We only discovered it due to googling and had to show our driver where to go. Great way to get a look at some Balinese culture. There is also some interactive exhibits. Good gift shop however all payments via card only including exterance fee.
